Since DBIA’s inception in 1993 our members have been dedicated to the highest level of ethical conduct, professionalism and service. With the increased use of design-build project delivery and the increased recognition of DBIA™ certified professionals, the professional conduct of DBIA members has become more important than ever. Those holding the Designated Design-Build Professional™ (DBIA™) and the Associate Designation Design-Build Professional (Assoc. DBIA™) have an even greater responsibility to adhere to the highest principles of ethical conduct in the performance of their professional duties.
As such, at its February meeting the DBIA National Board of Directors approved and adopted a new Code of Professional Conduct. A letter announcing the new Professional Code of Conduct is found here. The new Professional Code of Conduct in its entirety is found here. All DBIA members and DBIA™/Assoc. DBIA™ certified professionals are encouraged to join DBIA National for a free, hour-long webinar to be hosted on May 11, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Subject matter experts from the Code of Conduct Task Force will provide a high-level overview of the ethical rules and comments contained within the Code, as well as answer your questions. Although there is no charge, registration is required. If you have any questions or comments in the interim, please feel free to contact DBIA’s Executive Director, Lisa Washington, at [email protected]. Comments are closed.
